Embracing Personal Thankfulness

It's that time of year, when leaves change color and gently fall to the ground, blanketing the world around them. It is also that time of year when we are grateful for what we have in our lives and whom we share it with.

But sometimes we need to reflect on ourselves for just a moment and remember to take care of ourselves, mind, body and soul.

But how do we accomplish this? Should we make it overcomplicated or take the easier route? Simplicity and thankfulness have it's rewards. Do small favors for yourself. If you order something online even if it is shampoo or a much needed sweater, send it as a gift with a special card reminding yourself how special you are and how hard you work.

Put a little bit of cash aside to get a new haircut at a favorite salon and maybe save a few pennies using online coupons. Watch an old movie, take a book out from the local library and cuddle up with a pet. Eat healthy and get some much needed sleep and fresh air. You deserve it and the skies the limit when it comes to ideas.

Appreciate the simple things around you such as a local park, fall picnics, riding a bike or driving somewhere to see fall foliage at it's best. You are precious, make some memories and embrace who you are. Because the world is a wonderful place and you are a treasure to be thankful for too.
